Interesting and if true for me, that would make sense. Thank you very much, I am having a multitude of side effects that have me depressed, constipated and weak. I know the standard meds don't work for me.

I don't think I'm personally at risk from the pill ;) but this is an important and informative post Paul, that I think will ring bells for many folks!

BTW the html at the bottom of your blog page seems to all be 'to cock' as they say -- there are a lot of funny messages about failing to open and stuff like that. Just thought you should know!

Cheers - keep up the good work

I would be interested in finding out more about any associations and remedies for high blood pressure in people with one kidney. I had a kidney removed 30 years ago, and last year was diagnosed with mild hypertension.

Dear Sir,
Thanks a lot.
I am observing your suggestion.
I regularly use Co Q-10 and Omega-3. The results are much better.
Your newsletter are edifying examples.
Thanks once again.

Sarah,

Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor. ACE stands for angiotensin converting Enzyme.

It's important that you don't use this drug while pregnant or if you are planning to become pregnant as it can cause birth defects if taken during pregnancy.

Avoid alcohol as this can dehyrate you and increase the effectiveness of the drug, causing low blood pressure. Ensure you stay well hydrated if you are prescribed this drug.

Cozaar is different class of drug - an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Cozaar stops the blood vessels narrowing, therefore improving the blood flow and lowering high blood pressure as a result. Is is also used to reduce the risk of stroke for people with high blood pressure.

As with Lisinopril don't take Cozaar if you are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant as it can cause birth defects and even death to the fetus. Again alcohol is best avoided.

hope this helps.
